Coach McKenzie has been around the game of basketball nearly his entire life. He played two years at the University of North Texas and graduated with a BS in Kinesiology. He then went on to graduate from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Masters of Theology in Pastoral Studies. From 2005-2014 he was an Assistant Coach and Chaplain for the Texas Titans EYBL organization. From 2014-2016 he took over as their Head Coach. The Texas Titans have won 4 AAU National Championships, 1 Nike EYBL Peach Jam National Championship, and 2 Primetime National Championships. All of their student athletes received basketball scholarships. Coach McKenzie has an uncanny knack to develop young men way beyond the basketball court. His prayer is that the athletes develop on the court, but more importantly grow in their relationship with Jesus. He is married to his wife Lisa, and they have five amazing children.
"I couldn't have asked for a better mentor! His impact on my life, both on and off the court, has helped develop me into the man I am today."
- Julius Randle | Los Angeles Lakers
"When it comes to people Coach McKenzie is in a league of his own. He has been instrumental to my growth on and off the court."
- Matt Jones | Duke University, National Champion 2015
